I will present results of observations with the Australia Telescope Compact Array towards water masers that were previously observed with by HOPS (the H2O southern Galactic Plane Survey). The ATCA observations can pinpoint the masers with arcsecond accuracy, allowing a more reliable association of the masers with astrophysical sources such as young stellar objects and evolved stars. The morphology of the maser sites can also help us understand the origins of the maser emission.
